  • Resumen
    • Although it is true that teaching a second language is a job thatfulfills the professor, it is also true that, a teacher is never totally prepared for what he/she may encounter in the classroom. One of the situations teachers may not expect is to have to teach amultilevel class. Teaching such a class presents several challengesthat, if teachers do not foresee, may make teaching really difficult. In this article, I will talk about the challenges faced by teachers ina multilevel class in order to help students develop their oral abilities in such classes. The objectives and the research questions of the investigation will be presented, as well as a description of thepopulation and the instruments chosen for this research. In addition, the literature review including some definitions of what amultilevel class is and the challenges found by several authors aswell as a summary of the results is also mentioned. Knowing andhaving in mind these challenges can make a difference by helpingteachers be more prepared to cope with these situations.
