    En aquest estudi es descriu el procés de canvi semàntic pel qual el mot cor passarà a conceptualitzar prototípicament la seu de les emocions humanes en català antic, en una evolució que culminarà durant el s. XV. Es tracta, doncs, d’un estudi onomasiològic que combina la semàntica diacrònica amb la història cultural per explicar un fenomen de canvi lexicosemàntic. Per dur a terme aquest estudi, s’ha analitzat qualitativament i quantitativa les dades del Corpus Informatitzat de la Gramàtica del Català Antic (CIGCA), un corpus històric, diacrònic i general de la llengua catalana. En concret, s’ha estudiat un total de 1464 casos de cor datats entre els s. XIII-XV, els quals han estat caracteritzats semànticament i formal amb l’objectiu d’identificar els nuclis semàntics del mot i les unitats fraseològiques que genera. Posteriorment, s’ha descrit l’evolució d’aquests nuclis i s’ha relacionat amb les tendències identificades sobre l’evolució del concepte en l’àmbit de la història cultural o literària.

    This study describes the process of semantic change by which the word cor (‘heart’) will prototypically conceptualize the seat of human emotions in Old Catalan, as a result of an evolution that will culminate during the 15th century. It is an onomasiological study that combines diachronic semantics with cultural history to explain a phenomenon of lexicosemantic change. The data that support this study have been taken from the Corpus Informatitzat de la Gramàtica del Català Antic (CIGCA), a historical, diachronic and general corpus of the Catalan language, and have been analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Specifically, a total of 1464 examples of the word cor have been studied, dated between the 13th and 15th centuries; they have been semantically and formally characterized in order to identify the semantic nuclei of the word and the phraseological units it generates. Subsequently, the evolution of these nuclei has been described and has been linked to the trends identified in the field of cultural or literary history on the evolution of the concept of heart.
