    El género periodístico de los Spectators se inició en Inglaterra a principios del siglo XVIII y se extendió rápidamente a Alemania, Francia, España, Portugal e Italia, convirtiéndose así en un importante instrumento de la Ilustración extensiva. No solo eran de interés general el perfeccionamiento y la estandarización de la propia lengua, los neologismos que entraban en circulación a través del discurso transnacional y la conveniencia de ciertos estilos lingüísticos, sino que los temas teóricos de la lengua también atraían una amplia atención en el siglo XVIII. En la presente contribución se analiza la representación de la interrelación entre las formas conceptuales y narrativas, tomando como ejemplo los semanarios de distinta filiación lingüístico-cultural.

    The journalistic genre of the Spectators began in England at the beginning of the 18th century and quickly spread to Germany, France, Spain, Portugal and Italy, thus becoming an important instrument of the extensive Enlightenment. The improvement and standardisation of one's own language, the neologisms entering into circulation through transnational discourse and the appropriateness of certain linguistic styles were not the only general interest, but theoretical issues of language also attracted widespread attention in the 18th century. The present contribution analyses the representation of the interrelationship between conceptual and narrative forms, taking as examples periodicals of different linguistic-cultural affiliation.
