    • The use of mainstream movies in science courses has typically been to showcase good or bad science illustrated in those films.1–6 Indeed, many newer films use technical advisors to ensure that special effects and scenes are as correct as possible, science-wise. Educators have also found creative ways to examine other aspects of movies, such as historical and political contexts related to science
