STEAM para el desarrollo del pensamiento matemático: una revisión documental

    El artículo presenta una revisión del estado del arte del Enfoque STEAM en educación matemática, con el objetivo de identificar tendencias actuales vinculadas a su impacto en el desarrollo del pensamiento matemático, teniendo en cuenta enfoques globales. Se destacan subcategorías como: STEAM en educación matemática, STEAM y la resolución de problemas, y STEAM y gamificación en educación matemática. Este trabajo se desarrolló por medio del resumen analítico investigativo (RAI) de la documentación objeto de estudio. Se concluye una apropiación en el uso del Enfoque educativo en cuanto a la creación y puesta en práctica de metodologías basadas en STEAM. También se identifica este enfoque como una propuesta novedosa que brinda las bases para formular estrategias educativas sumamente llamativas para los estudiantes, en especial en educación matemática.

    The document presents a review of the state of the art of the STEAM educational model in mathematics education, with the aim of identifying current trends related to its impact on the development of mathematical thinking, taking into account global approaches. Subcategories such as STEAM in mathematics education, STEAM and problem solving, STEAM and gamification in mathematics education are highlighted through the research analytical summary (RAS) of the documentation under study. Thus, it is concluded the identification of the appropriation in the use of the model in terms of the creation and implementation of STEAM-based methodologies and also, a novel proposal that provides the basis to formulate highly attractive educational strategies for students.
