La metodología STEAM: una experiencia interdisciplinar para fomentar la actitud de los estudiantes hacia el aprendizaje

    El propósito de esta experiencia fue analizar el impacto de la metodología STEM, bajo la implementación de un proyecto de robótica, en la actitud hacia los aprendizajes en los alumnos de undécimo en la Escuela Normal Superior Santa Teresita. Se propone usar como estrategia central mediaciones pedagógicas que susciten la unificación de las distintas áreas como matemáticas, ciencias y tecnología, en este caso. La metodología adoptada siguió el paradigma experimental analítico, y también se utilizó el modelo cuasiexperimental. Se tomaron como población los grados undécimos del año 2023, con 72 estudiantes en total. Se aplicó un análisis de ANOVA de mediciones repetidas con el propósito de calcular las variaciones a nivel de intragrupos e intergrupos a través del software SPSS versión 29 libre. Los resultados arrojaron que, con el enfoque STEAM, los estudiantes mejoran sus actitudes, por lo que, trabajan de un modo activo y práctico. En conclusión, STEAM se establece como una técnica novedosa, en donde los escolares trabajan habilidades importantes como la creatividad, el trabajo interaccionista, el pensamiento reflexivo y la capacidad de resolución de problemas.

    The purpose of this article was to analyze the impact of the STEM methodology, under the implementation of a Robotics project, on the attitude towards science, mathematics and technology in eleventh grade students at the Escuela Normal Superior Santa Teresita. It is proposed to use pedagogical mediations that encourage the unification of different areas such as mathematics, science and technology in this case, this being the central strategy in learning, since it allows generating motivation and attitude in students. The methodology adopted in this research work was with the analytical experimental paradigm, the quasi-experimental model was also used, the grades belonging to the last year of secondary education (2023) were taken as the population, with 72 students in total. A repeated measures ANOVA analysis was applied with the purpose of calculating the variations at the intragroup and intergroup level, for this purpose the free SPSS software version 29 was used. The results showed that under the STEAM methodology, students improve their attitudes, for the reason that they work in an active and practical way.
