    Existe una creciente preocupación en la comunidad educativa y en el conjunto de la sociedad por el aumento de la violencia en los centros docentes, el absentismo escolar y el fracaso escolar. Las enseñanzas a través de este proyecto desarrollado en un instituto, han tenido como objetivo principal proporcionar una formación científica e integral del alumnado de la ESO, impulsando la capacitación del mismo en la superación del fracaso escolar, el trabajo contra el absentismo escolar y favoreciendo medidas educativas innovadoras para ello. Todo ello, se ha podido llevar a cabo con la participación creciente de toda la comunidad educativa y entidades del entorno.

    Por otro lado, el aumento en el porcentaje de menores absentistas es una de las causas más determinantes que repercuten en el fracaso escolar. Por esta razón, hemos tomado conciencia de esta problemática y le hemos hecho frente de manera inmediata.

    Esta problemática se presenta especialmente grave en aquellos alumnos y alumnas que proceden de grupos sociales en situación socioeconómica desfavorecida.

    El primer eslabón, y el más importante, de la cadena de detección del absentismo escolar es el centro educativo, en el que conviene actuar en primer lugar, siendo cada vez más una preocupación de toda la sociedad, ya que tiene repercusiones negativas tanto desde el punto de vista individual como social.

    En el IES Salvador Távora de Sevilla, el número de alumnos o alumnas absentistas es considerable y la preocupación por ello nos llevó a presentar como imprescindible este proyecto.

    “Sumamos por la inclusión y contra el absentismo” está basado y focalizado en facilitar la inclusión social de los adolescentes en situación o riesgo de exclusión social, así como en reducir el número de absentistas y prevenir una futura generación absentista. Para ello, este trabajo ha buscado incrementar el sentido de pertenencia del alumnado de la ESO al Centro, favoreciendo además su deseo de participar en la vida de la comunidad educativa del mismo, y los resultados obtenidos han sido incluso más sorprendentes e ilusionantes de lo que pensábamos en un comienzo.

    There is growing concern in the educational community and society at large about the increase in violence in schools, truancy and school failure. The main objective of the teaching through this project developed in an institute has been to provide a comprehensive scientific education for ESO students, promoting their training in overcoming school failure, work against school absenteeism and promoting innovative educational measures to this end. All of this has been possible with the growing participation of the entire educational community and local authorities.The rise in the percentage of absent minors is one of the most important causes of school failure. Therefore, we must be aware of this problem and face it immediately.

    On the other hand, the increase in the percentage of children who do not attend school is one of the most important causes that have an impact on school failure. For this reason, we have become aware of this problem and have dealt with it immediately.

    This problem is particularly acute among students from socially disadvantaged groups.

    The first and most important link in the chain of detection of school absenteeism is the educational establishment, where action should be taken in the first place, increasingly a concern of society as a whole, because it has negative repercussions both from an individual and social point of view.

    In the IES Salvador Távora in Seville, the number of absentee students is considerable and the concern for this led us to present this project as essential.

    "We add for inclusion and against absenteeism" is based on and focused on facilitating the social inclusion of adolescents in a situation or risk of social exclusion, as well as on reducing the number of absentees and preventing a future absentee generation. To this end, this work has sought to increase the sense of belonging of ESO students to the Centre, and to foster their desire to participate in the life of the ESO educational community and the results obtained have been even more surprising and exciting than we thought in the beginning.
