    La evaluación integral de la población estudiantil constituye una estrategia de carácter preventivo, que permite tener una panorámica global de las necesidades de tipo sociocultural, físico, educativo y de desarrollo evolutivo de la población estudiantil. Esta experiencia piloto ha procurado una validación del procedimiento de evaluación en el Nivel Inicial y en el primer grado del Nivel Primario. La estrategia es coordinada por la Dirección de Orientación y Psicología del MINERD, en articulación con los niveles educativos y el INABIE. Han participado 115 centros educativos de la Regional 18 de Bahoruco, 2348 estudiantes del Nivel Inicial, 1669 estudiantes de primer grado del Nivel Primario y 2228 padres/madres. Se realizaron evaluaciones visuales, oftalmológicas, de la salud bucal, del desarrollo evolutivo, del clima socio-familiar y de las habilidades iniciales para la lectura. El equipo investigador está en fase de análisis de datos.

    Comprehensive evaluation of the student population constitutes a preventive strategy, which allows for a global overview of the sociocultural, physical, educational and evolutionary development needs of the student population. This pilot experience has sought a validation of the evaluation procedure at the Initial Level and in the first grade of the Primary Level. The strategy is coordinated by the Direction of Orientation and Psychology of the MINERD, in coordination with the educational levels and the INABIE. 115 educational centers of Regional 18 of Bahoruco have participated, 2348 students of the Initial Level, 1669 first grade students of the Primary Level and 2228 fathers / mothers. Visual, ophthalmological, oral health, evolutionary development, socio-family climate and initial reading skills evaluations were performed. The research team is in the data analysis phase.
