Concepciones sobre el concepto y finalidad de la evaluación en docentes de Biología en formación y en ejercicio

    Este trabajo tuvo por objeto indagar las concepciones de los docentes de biología en formación y en ejercicio sobre el concepto y la finalidad de la evaluación de los aprendizajes, contrastando las percepciones de ambos grupos. Considerando que la evaluación de los aprendizajes es uno de los procesos más importantes en educación; pues los resultados de ésta son el punto de partida para la toma de decisiones dentro del aula de clases, en el centro y el Sistema Educativo en general. Fue una investigación descriptiva, con enfoque cualitativo, participaron 60 docentes de Biología de la provincia de San Pedro de Macorís (30 en formación y 30 en ejercicio), la técnica de recolección de información fue la entrevista y el instrumento utilizado un cuestionario de preguntas abiertas; se vaciaron los resultados en matrices de análisis para facilitar su interpretación. A partir de las respuestas recogidas, se construyeron categorías según las respuestas otorgadas por los participantes. Se concluyó que los docentes poseen una concepción simplista de la evaluación, una minoría de los encuestados relacionaron la finalidad de la evaluación con aprender, entre tanto la mayoría la asociaron con calificar, medir y certificar; es recomendable la realización cursos de actualización docente para mejorar las concepciones de los profesores al respecto, y desde allí el proceso mismo de evaluación en las aulas.

    The purpose of this work was to investigate the conceptions of biology teachers in training and in practicing about the concept and purpose of learning evaluation, contrasting the perceptions of both groups. Considering that the evaluation of learning is one of the most important processes in education; because the results of this are the starting point for decision making within the classroom, in the center and the Educational System in general. It was descriptive research, with a qualitative approach, with the participation of 60 Biology teachers from the province of San Pedro de Macorís (30 in training and 30 in practicing), the information collection technique was the interview and the instrument used was a questionnaire of open questions; the results were emptied into analysis matrices to facilitate their interpretation. From the answers collected, categories were built according to the answers given by the participants. It was concluded that teachers have a simplistic conception of evaluation, A minority of the surveyed related the purpose of the evaluation to learning, while the majority associated it with qualifying, measuring and certifying; It is recommended to carry out refresher courses to improve teachers' conceptions in this regard, and from there the evaluation process itself in the classroom.
