    El acceso a la educación universitaria se ha incrementado de manera sostenida en los últimos 30 años. Los relevamientos realizados en la Universidad Provincial de Ezeiza (UPE) muestran que poco más del 80% de los estudiantes son primera generación de universitarios en su familia, es decir, que su entorno inmediato nunca ha accedido a los estudios superiores.Esta realidad requiere de estrategias que, con el objetivo de garantizar el ingreso, la permanencia y el egreso desde una perspectiva democratizadora, presenten el espacio universitario como un ámbito superador de sus tradicionales aulas y representaciones sociales.En el año 2019 la UPE abordó una reforma curricular modificando los planes de estudio y generando programas específicos que abordan integralmente ejes que hoy constituyen la agenda del sistema universitario nacional con foco en: repensar las modalidades de enseñanza y de aprendizaje, focalizando las estrategias en el estudiante y desplegando alternativas de formación mediadas por la tecnología; analizar las horas que invierten los estudiantes en cursar y estudiar, reconociendo que tienen perfiles y biografías diferentes; Identificar y ampliar las certificaciones intermedias; trabajar en procesos de internacionalización inclusivos; incorporar la extensión universitaria a los planes de estudio; entre otros.

    Access to university education has increased steadily in the last 30 years. The surveys carried out at the Provincial University of Ezeiza (UPE) show that just over 80% of the students are the first generation of university students in their family, that is, their immediate environment has never accessed higher education.

    This reality requires strategies that, with the aim of guaranteeing entry, permanence and graduation from a democratizing perspective, present the university space as an area that surpasses its traditional classrooms and social representations.

    In 2019, the UPE addressed a curricular reform, modifying the study plans and generating specific programs that comprehensively address axes that today constitute the agenda of the national university system with a focus on: rethinking the teaching and learning modalities, focusing the strategies on the student and deploying training alternatives mediated by technology; analyze the hours that students invest in taking and studying, recognizing that they have different profiles and biographies; Identify and expand intermediate certifications; work on inclusive internationalization processes; incorporate university extension into study plans; among others.
