Resumen de La influència del còmic i el discurs fragmentat en el disseny periodístic

Josep A. Rom Rodríguez

  • Although the current aesthetic trend of newspapers largely imitates that of television, in this author's judgment, the most important contribution of the audiovisual narrative to the construction of the graphic journalism discourse has been made by another narrative medium: the comic strip. As in graphic narratives, journalistic design is characterized by the complexity of organizing the space of the page in order to distribute the text, photos and illustrations according to the criteria of hierarchy of information and the organization of the meaning of the content. In both graphic languages, the grid becomes the instrument which facilitates the construction of a space and thus determines the direction of reading, the composition of the page and the temporal perception of the discourse.
