Adaptación y Análisis Psicométrico de la Escala de Desarrollo Positivo Juvenil-Versión Breve (DPJ-VB) en Adolescentes del Norte de Chile

    Este estudio tuvo por objetivo adaptar y analizar las propiedades psicométricas de la Escala de Desarrollo Positivo Juvenil-Versión Breve (DPJ-VB) en una muestra de adolescentes del Norte de Chile. Participaron 369 adolescentes (193 hombres y 176 mujeres) con una edad media de 15 años (DE=1.7). Los resultados muestran: 1) una estructura de cinco factores correlacionados con aceptables índices de ajuste a los datos (CFI=.920; TLI=.913; SRMR=.066; RMSEA=.074); 2) adecuada consistencia interna en todas las dimensiones (α y ω entre .77 y .89); 3) y correlaciones significativas con otros constructos criterio (autoestima, ansiedad y depresión) en cuatro de las cinco dimensiones del instrumento. En general, los hallazgos apoyan el uso de la versión de 33 ítems del DPJ-VB para evaluar el desarrollo positivo en adolescentes chilenos.

    This study aimed to adapt and analyze the psychometric properties of the Positive Youth Development Scale – Short Form (PYD-SF) in a sample of adolescents from northern Chile. A total of 369 adolescents (193 males and 176 females) with a mean age of 15 years (SD=1.7) participated in the study. The results show: 1) a fivefactor correlated structure with acceptable fit indices to the data (CFI=.920; TLI=.913; SRMR=.066;

    RMSEA=.074); 2) adequate internal consistency in all dimensions (α and ω between .77 and .89); 3) and significant correlations with other criterion constructs (self-esteem, anxiety, and depression) in four of the five dimensions of the instrument. Overall, the findings support the use of the 33-item version of the PYD-SF to assess positive development in Chilean adolescents.
