    La sección de Patrimonio Histórico de la Unidad Central Operativa (UCO) es una de las unidades de la Guardia Civil que persiguen delitos contra el patrimonio cultural. Otras, como el Servicio Marítimo y Grupos Especiales de Actividades Subacuáticas, las patrullas de Servicio de Protección de la Naturaleza y las unidades territoriales, se ocupan también de esta protección. Entrando en materia en lo que afecta a las falsificaciones, contaremos algunos detalles de operaciones o casos concretos en los que la estafa ha sido el delito cometido, utilizando para ello el «engaño bastante para producir error en otro» que señala el artículo 248 del Código Penal, tratando de generar cierta «polémica», con las falsificaciones que se pueden encontrar en la numismática, o en las reproducciones de obras pictóricas, donde la propiedad intelectual puede no tener acomodo o suficiente encaje en el Código Penal español.

    The Historical Heritage section of the Central Operational Unit (UCO) is one of the Civil Guard units that pursue crimes against cultural heritage. Others, such as the Maritime Service and SpecialGroups of Underwater Activities, the Nature Protection Service Patrols and the territorial units, also deal with this protection. Going into the subject of what affects forgeries, we will tell some details of operations or specific cases in which fraud has been the crime committed using the «deception enough to cause error in another» indicated in article 248 of the Penal Code, trying to generate a certain «controversy », with the falsifications that can be found in numismatics, or in reproductions of pictorial works where intellectual property may not have accommodation or sufficient fit in the Spanish Penal Code.
