  • Resumen
    • Virtual images produced by lenses usually pose some conceptual problems for students, as the images cannot be cast on a screen. Students find the positions and magnifications of the virtual images theoretically without being able to verify them experimentally. In a recent work,1 we have shown how to find the transverse width and distance of an object by taking its photograph. We apply the same method here and take photographs of the virtual images produced by a concave lens, a convex lens while the object is placed within its focal distance from the lens, and a plane mirror. From the photographs, we find the width and position of the virtual images.
