    En el artículo se analiza cómo motivar a los estudiantes de las carreras pedagógicas hacia el estudio de Historiade Cuba. Para ello se explica la importancia de esta asignatura, las habilidades que desarrolla en los estudiantes, y lasfunciones que tiene como ciencia. Durante la investigación para realizar el diagnóstico inicial y el final se aplicaron métodosdel nivel teórico (histórico- lógico, analítico-sintético, enfoque de sistema, inductivo – deductivo), empíricos (observación,entrevista, análisis documental, triangulación metodológica), y matemáticos (estadística descriptiva).

    The objective of the article is explained: to explain the importance of motivating students to study History basedon the scientific problem: how to contribute to the motivation of students of pedagogical careers towards the learning of theHistory of Cuba? An analysis is made of the importance of motivating the study of history through the daily work of theteacher, the skills he develops in the students, and the functions he has as a subject and science. It is concluded that the study ofhistory affects the integral and humanistic formation of the student and responsible social behavior. All this based on appliedresearch methods such as: theoretical-level methods (Historical-Analytical-Synthetic, System-based and Inductive-deductive),empirical (Observation, Interview, Documentary analysis, Methodological triangulation) and mathematicians (Descriptivestatistics).
