    El objetivo de este trabajo es reflexionar metacognitivamente en torno al proceso investigativo en el campo de educación y migración desde la voz de una investigadora novel. La reconstrucción de la experiencia investigativa se desarrolla a partir del concepto de “currere” propuesto por William Pinar, retomando las etapas Regresiva y Progresiva. A modo de colofón, se destaca la influencia del contexto social como telón de fondo en la investigación y cómo esta constituye una oportunidad para comprender los fenómenos, en base a la evidencia, la cual es coincidente en señalar el rol preponderante de la Formación Inicial Docente para atender los contextos educativos multiculturales.

    The aim of this paper is to reflect metacognitively on the research process in the field of education and migration from the perspective of a novice researcher. The reconstruction of the research experience is developed from the concept of "currere" proposed by William Pinar, taking up the regressive and progressive stages. In conclusion, the influence of the social context as a backdrop to the research is highlighted and how this constitutes an opportunity to understand the phenomena, based on the evidence, which coincides in pointing out the predominant role of Initial Teacher Education to address multicultural educational contexts.
