La banca impulsa la elevada rentabilidad anual de la bolsa española

    El IBEX 35 alcanzó en 2023 una rentabilidad del 22,79%. Es una de las más altas del mundo y está entre las veinticinco mayores en España desde que existen registros de índices bursátiles en 1874.

    Este excelente resultado, que se eleva hasta el 28,05% si incorporamos la reinversión de dividendos, ha sido posible en gran medida gracias a que el sector bancario cotizado, con un peso de alrededor de un tercio en el índice, ha tenido un comportamiento destacado, con un 35% de rentabilidad, que casi alcanza el 44% si se le añaden los dividendos. Superada una década ominosa repleta de estrecheces, ajustes y reestructuraciones, la banca española parece haber recuperado por fin el aire suficiente para mostrarse competitiva y recobrar la confianza de los inversores en un entorno de tipos de interés mucho más favorable al desarrollo de sus negocios y con ratios de valoración atractivos desde varios puntos de vista.

    The IBEX 35 reached a profitability of 22.79% in 2023. It is one of the highest in the world and is among the 25 largest in Spain since there were records of stock market indices in 1874.This excellent result, which rises to 28.05% if we incorporate the reinvestment of dividends, has been possible in largely thanks to the fact that the listed banking sector, with a weight of around a third in the index, has had an outstanding performance with a 35% profitability that almost reaches 44% if dividends are added. Having overcome an ominous decade full of constraints, adjustments and restructuring, Spanish banking seems to have finally regained enough air to be competitive and regain the confidence of investors in an environment of interest rates much more favorable to the development of its businesses and with valuation ratios that are attractive from several points of view.
