Representaciones de docentes de Argentina, Chile y Colombia sobre las prácticas experimentales

    El estudio de las representaciones de los docentes de Ciencias Naturales es un abordaje que permite profundizar el análisis de la práctica docente y su posible incidencia en el aprendizaje de los estudiantes. Esto contribuye a identificar los obstáculos que se presentan en la enseñanza de contenidos científicos de la mano de las prácticas experimentales, para así fortalecer la formación docente inicial y continua. En este trabajo se presentan los resultados de un estudio realizado con docentes de Argentina, Chile y Colombia, con el propósito de analizar y comparar sus respectivas representaciones sociales acerca de los trabajos prácticos experimentales e inferir las posibles implicancias en su práctica docente. Las similitudes y diferencias encontradas en las representaciones sociales de los docentes de los tres países nos permiten tener una mirada más amplia acerca del pensamiento de los docentes más allá de los límites geográficos. Las similitudes en las representaciones identificadas se asocian a componentes actitudinales, mientras que las diferencias llevan a preguntarse si deben atribuirse al contexto educativo o a los procesos de formación docente inicial.

    The study of the representations of the teachers of Natural Sciences is an approach that allows deepening the analysis of the teaching practice and its possible incidence in learning. This contributes to identifying the obstacles that arise in the teaching of the scientific content in experimental practices, to strengthen initial and continuous teacher training. This paper presents the results of a study carried out with teachers from Argentina, Chile, and Colombia, to analyze and compare their respective social representations of experimental practical work and infer the possible implications in their teaching practice. The similarities and differences found in the social representations of teachers in the three countries allow us to have a broader view of teachers' thinking beyond geographical limits. The similarities in the identified representations are associated with attitudinal components, while the differences lead to the question of whether they should be attributed to the educational context or the processes of initial teacher training.
