    O golpe de estado do Capitán Xeneral de Cataluña, Miguel Primo de Rivera, en setembro de 1923, foi bendicido desde o seu inicio pola maioría das elites do Val de Miñor: mauristas, socialistas, agrarios, rexionalistas e mesmo os eclesiásticos viron no Directorio a esperanza de poñer fin ao caciquismo, que representaban na comarca os dirixentes e funcionarios urzañistas.

    A disolución dos concellos e o nomeamento dos delegados gobernativos, de orixe militar, foron as súas primeiras medidas para rexenerar os municipios

    The coup d´etat of General Captain of Catalonia, Miguel Primo de Rivera, in September 1923, was supported from the beginning by the majority of the elites of the Val de Miñor: mauristas, socialists, agrarians, regionalists even the ecclesiastics saw in the Directorio (new administration) the hope of putting an end to the despotism, which was imposed by the urzañista leaders and officials.

    The dissolution of the town councils and the appointment of government delegates from the military were the firts measures to regenerate the municipalities.
