  Los superhéroes americanos han transitado y se han redefinido de forma trasversal como iconos de referencia de las industrias culturales a lo largo de las múltiples etapas creativas acontecidas en el arte del cómic. El abandono de figuras heroicas clásicas fuertemente estereotipadas ha favorecido la construcción de un sujeto heroico posclásico que transita hacia caminos más traumáticos y complejos. La migración de las historias de superhéroes de las viñetas a las pantallas ha posibilitado su proyección en un nuevo ecosistema mediático y mediante estrategias narrativas significantes desarrolladas en los openings de los seriales y las películas de superhéroes se reconoce su evolución y mutación. El presente trabajo pretende abordar la evolución del superhéroe norteamericano mediante el Opening de Watchmen (2009) como caso paradigmático que representa el auge y caída del superhéroe norteamericano, desde el surgimiento del superhéroe clásico hasta su transición al superhéroe posclásico

  American superheroes have transited and redefined themselves in a transversal way as icons of reference of the cultural industries throughout the multiple creative stages that have taken place in the art of comics. The abandonment of strongly stereotyped classical heroic figures has favored the construction of a post-classical heroic subject that moves towards more complex and traumatic paths. The migration of superhero stories from comics to screens has made possible their projection in a new media ecosystem and through significant narrative strategies developed in the openings of superhero serials and movies, their evolution and mutation is recognized. This paper aims to address the evolution of the American superhero through the opening of Watchmen (2009)as a paradigmatic case that represents the rise and fall of the American superhero, from the emergence of the classic superhero to its transition to the post-classic superhero
