The present paper arises from a broader investigation with the title of “Information and communication technologies: Problems, limitations, challenges and possibilities of university teachers in their appropriation and implementation in the educational practice”. Herein, I only focus on exposing how the oral history interview helped me to build a primary source, and from it gather and analyze the cultural capital (Bourdieu, 1979) of the informant teachers who participated in the research. The richness of the testimonies also made possible the analysis of the school culture (Viñao, 2006) of the institution they work for, and that as a whole allowed the understanding of the teaching processes that they exerted with the support of the information and communication technologies (ICT) in the university classroom.
