Wikipedia y los centros educativos de enseñanza superior de Portugal

    Desde su fundación, Wikipedia se ha mostrado como uno de los recursos más visitados del mundo, y ha sido analizada tanto como herramienta comunicativa como educativa. Esta investigación se centra en estudiar su contenido en referencia a los centros educativos superiores de Portugal. También busca analizar los idiomas que mejor representan a estos centros educativos en Wikipedia y comprobar si el discurso de sus artículos ha sido creado gracias al trabajo colaborativo y libre. Para ello, se creó una clasificación con todas las instituciones superiores, se buscó en Wikidata si disponían de elemento y los idiomas de Wikipedia en los que estaban presentes. Se guardaron estos datos y se programó un bot para recoger las visitas que recibían, su tamaño, cantidad de fuentes en las que se basan, las ediciones que se han grabado en ellos y por quién han sido realizadas. Se encontraron 102 instituciones superiores, de las cuales 81 estaban presentes en Wikidata. De estas, 60 tenían artículo en Wikipedia en cualquiera delas lenguas activas de la enciclopedia, siendo la versión en portugués la de mayor número de artículos creados con 56. Las universidades de Coimbra, Lisboa y Porto se mostraron como las más importantes, demostrando que el discurso de sus artículos es fruto del trabajo colaborativo de muchos editores. El resto instituciones superiores mostraron unos datos muy diversos, en ocasiones con contenidos procedentes de cuentas con propósitos particulares, sobre todo en ciertas instituciones privadas. Por ello, se puede concluir que el contenido de los artículos de Wikipedia es muy variado, dependiendo de la importancia de las instituciones y el interés particular de los editores de la comunidad. En general, las instituciones de mayor prestigio están más vigiladas, tienen más editores a su cargo y su discurso es más variado que el de los centros más pequeños.

    Since its founding, Wikipedia has been one of the most visited resources in the world, and has been analyzed both as a communicative and educational tool. This research focuses on studying its content in reference to higher educational centers in Portugal. It also seeks to analyze the languages that best represent these educational centers on Wikipedia and check whether the discourse of their articles has been created thanks to collaborative and free work. To do this, a classification was created with all the higher institutions, Wikidata was searched to see if they had an element and the Wikipedia languages in which they were present. This data was saved and a bot was programmed to collect the visits they received, their size, the number of sources on which they are based, the edits that have been recorded in them and by whom they have been made. 102 higher institutions were found, of which 81 were present on Wikidata. Of these, 60 had an article on Wikipedia in any of the active languages of the encyclopedia, with the Portuguese version having the highest number of articles created with 56. The universities of Coimbra, Lisbon and Porto were the most important, showing that The discourse of its articles is the result of the collaborative work of many editors. The rest of the higher institutions showed very diverse data, sometimes with content from accounts for particular purposes, especially in certain private institutions. Therefore, it can be concluded that the content of Wikipedia articles is very varied, depending on the importance of the institutions and the particular interest of the community editors. In general, the most prestigious institutions are more closely monitored, have more editors in charge, and their discourse is more varied than that of smaller centers.
