    El diario ABC es el decano de la prensa madrileña y manifestó desde su fundación un gran interés por la fotografía. El Archivo ABC es muy importante por la cantidad de imágenes que almacena, por la variedad temática que ofrecen los medios de comunicación, por el estado de conservación y porque está bien ordenado y documentado. Este trabajo aporta datos sobre formación, tipología y volúmenes del archivo. Se destacan algunas colecciones importantes dentro del fondo para entender mejor su importancia.     ABC newspaper is the oldest newspaper in Madrid and has shown great interest in photography since its foundation. The ABC Archive is very important because of the amount of images it stores, because of the thematic variety offered by the media, because of the state of conservation and because it is wellordered and documented. This work provides data on the formation, typology and volumes of the archive. Some important collections within the archive are highlighted to better understand their importance.
