    El Proyecto SWI (Small World Initiative) fue implementado en España en el curso 2016-17 por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid mediante una metodología de Aprendizaje-Servicio, integrando el aprendizaje de alumnos universitarios con el desarrollo de una actividad de servicio a la comunidad. Con el objetivo general del proyecto SWI de generar vocación científica y concienciar sobre el problema de la resistencia a antibióticos, los alumnos universitarios (SWITAs, Small World Initiative Teaching Assistants) se convierten en divulgadores e instructores en centros de enseñanza secundaria en colaboración con los profesores de los mismos. En la nueva edición 2017-2018, colaboran también en la coordinación de las distintas fases del proyecto alumnos universitarios que participaron el curso anterior (SWITA sénior).

    SWI project (Small World Initiative) was implemented in Spain in 2016, using a Service-Learning methodology, that integrates student’s learning with the development of a community service. With the general objective of SWI of generating scientific vocation and raising awareness about the problem of antibiotic resistance, university students (SWITAs, Small World Initiative Teaching Assistants) become scientific communicators and instructors in Secondary Schools, in collaboration with teachers. In this new 2017-2018 edition, university students that participated during the previous academic year collaborated in the coordination of the different stages of the project (SWITA senior).
