    Las prácticas audiovisuales experimentales actuales, desde sus inicios, han estado marcadas por el inminente avance tecnológico y una rápida sucesión de medios que han generado un fuerte impacto en la percepción general de las imágenes. De imponerse forzosamente a formar parte de nuestra realidad física y virtual, las imágenes en el arte audiovisual se han visto acompañadas en los últimos años por una creciente importancia del medio, que se comienza a integrar como parte del mensaje, y también por un progresivo interés en el desarrollo del espacio expositivo, introduciendo en él conceptos relacionados con la atmósfera espacial y con compartir experiencias dentro del lugar colectivo que debería ser el arte. Dentro de estas prácticas audiovisuales actuales, prendadas de sentido atmosférico, surge también una problemática relacionada con todos los residuos generados por este frenético progreso tecnológico y, con ellos, una pregunta: ¿qué lugar ocupan los medios antiguos que se han visto reemplazados por tecnologías más rápidas y eficaces?

    Since their beginnings, current experimental audiovisual practices have been marked by the imminent technological advance and a extremely fast succession of media which has generated a strong impact on the general perception of images. From being imposed to being part of our physical and virtual reality, images in audiovisual art have been accompanied in recent years by a growing importance of the medium, which is beginning to be integrated as part of the message, and also by a progressive interest in the development of the exhibition space, introducing into it concepts related to spatial atmosphere and to sharing experiences within the collective place that art should be. Within these present-day audiovisual practices, which are imbued with an atmospheric sense, there also arises a problem related to all the waste generated by this frenetic technological progress and, with it, a question: what is the place of the old media that have been replaced by faster and more efficient technologies?
