    Los capítulos IX y X de la segunda entrega son una muestra de la más que posible vinculación del texto cervantino con las obras de Séneca, Homero, Ovidio, Virgilio, Plinio el Viejo y Persio. Además, constituyen la base argumental del entramado posterior de la historia y una clave importante para poder dilucidar cómo exhibe Cervantes la singularidad de sus personajes frente a los estereotipos grotescos que circulaban ya en su época entre las masas populares y que, literariamente, desembocaron en la degradada caricatura del Quijote apócrifo de Avellaneda.

    Chapters IX and X of the second installment are a sample of the more than possible connection of the Cervantine text with the works of Seneca, Homer, Ovid, Virgil Pliny the Elder and Persio. Besides, they constitute the plot base of the subsequent framework of the story and an important key to be able to elucidate how Cervantes exhibits the singularity of his characters in front of the grotesque stereotypes that already circulated in his time among the popular masses, and that,made literature, led to the degraded caricature of Avellaneda's apocryphal Quixote.
