  Los actuales paradigmas de aprendizaje se fundamentan en la participación activa del estudiante; tienen entre otros propósitos el desarrollo de las habilidades del pensamiento deductivo. El objetivo de este ensayo es analizar el rol del método deductivo en la enseñanza de las Ciencias Sociales, en aras de divulgar y actualizar los conocimientos de los docentes sobre este asunto, para lo cual, se llevó a cabo una investigación de revisión, sistematizada a través del método de análisis documental y la técnica de análisis de contenido. Entre los hallazgos relevantes se encuentra que, en el área de las Ciencias Sociales, el docente debe superar las expectativas del estudiante mediante el método deductivo, partiendo de premisas correctas y coherentes que se asumen como verdaderas y empleando el pensamiento deductivo caracterizado por la racionalidad, argumentación, metódica, crítica, reflexión e inferencia lógica, para así llegar a conclusiones adecuadas.

  The current learning paradigms are based on the active participation of the student; They have, among other purposes, the development of deductive thinking skills. The objective of this essay is to analyze the role of the deductive method in the teaching of Social Sciences, for the sake of disseminating and updating the knowledge of teachers on this subject, for which a review investigation was carried out, systematized through through the documentary analysis method and the content analysis technique. Among the relevant findings is that, in the area of Social Sciences, the teacher must exceed the student's expectations through the deductive method, starting from correct and coherent premises that are assumed to be true and using deductive thinking characterized by rationality, argumentation, method, criticism, reflection and logical inference, in order to reach appropriate conclusions.
