    La transición española a la democracia en el plano sindical ha sido estudiada en clave eminentemente nacional. El artículo pretende abordar una de sus vertientes internacionales, mediante el análisis de la labor que UGT desarrolló en el ámbito de la OIT. Esta acción se centró en aspectos como la detención de la proyectada reforma sindical del franquismo, la utilización de cauces internacionales para alcanzar un modelo sindical compatible con los intereses de la central socialista y la consecución de la devolución del patrimonio sindical incautado durante el franquismo. Su tarea tuvo una innegable influencia sobre la ruptura sindical y la estabilización democrática.

    The transition to democracy at the union level has been studied in an eminently national key. The article aims to address the international aspect, through the analysis of the work that UGT developed in the field of the ILO. This action focused on aspects such as stopping the planned union reform of the Franco regime, the use of international channels to achieve a union model compatible with the interests of the socialist central and the achievement of the return of the union assets seized during the Franco regime. His task had an undeniable influence on the union breakdown and democratic stabilization.
