Pensamiento crítico en la investigación psicológica: legado y retos en Latinoamérica

    El progreso del saber humano a lo largo de la historia ha estado basado en dialécticas en las que los sujetos y objetos se han interrelacionado a partir de puntos de vista, de enfoques que reflejan la realidad a su modo, todo lo cual está condicionado por el desarrollo de la ciencia y la técnica. Dentro de estos procesos la investigación psicológica ha pretendido dar las respuestas más certeras, porque de todo lo existente son los seres humanos lo que más certeza requiere. Ello ha tenido una dialéctica en la que la subjetividad ha reflejado esos modos concretos de interpretación y reflejo en dependencia del sentido humanista que se posea. Realizamos un breve acercamiento al papel del pensamiento crítico en el desarrollo de la comprensión filosófica acerca de su lugar y papel dentro de la investigación psicológica y algunas deudas con la historia latinoamericana y las funciones de la Psicología en la era actual. Se reconoce a esta ciencia como una de las que más ha aportado al conocimiento del pensamiento crítico, pero a la vez tiene mucho por hacer ante los nuevos retos del desarrollo social y la formación integral del psicólogo del siglo XXI.

    The progress of human knowledge throughout history has been based on dialectics in which subjects and objects have been interrelated from points of view, approaches that reflect reality in their own way, all of which is conditioned by the development of science and technology. Within these processes, psychological research has tried to give the most accurate answers, because of everything that exists, human beings are what require the most certainty.This has had a dialectic in which subjectivity has reflected those specific modes of interpretation and reflection depending on the humanist sense that is possessed. We make a brief approach to the role of critical thinking in the development of philosophical understanding about its place and role within psychological research and some debts with Latin American history and the functions of Psychology in the current era. This science is recognized as one of the sciences that has contributed the most to the knowledge of critical thinking, but at the same time it has a lot to do in the face of the new challenges of social development and the comprehensive training of the 21st century psychologist.
