    The present study deals with the role of the teacher in the inclusion of autistic students in early childhood education, focusing on the analysis of the challenges and possibilities faced. Thus, we outline the objective of this work to analyze the role of the teacher, of the regular classroom, in the inclusion of students with autism spectrum disorder -ASD, in the context of early childhood education, highlighting the main challenges and possibilities in the process of inclusion of this student. Methodologically, this study is characterized by being a bibliographic review, considering that we seek, in the scientific literature, the elucidations punctuated by different authors on the subject in question. In this way, the research results showed that the role that the early childhood education teacher assumes regarding the inclusion of students with ASD is that of mediator and facilitator of the teaching and learning process in which, through joint work with the other members of the school and/or multidisciplinary team, and also articulated with the family, it becomes feasible to carry out the inclusion of this student in the context of basic education, especially in early childhood education. We conclude, therefore, that the process of inclusion of the student with ASD becomes feasible from a work based on collaboration and, that the sooner the necessary pedagogical interventions are carried out, the greater the possibilities of learning and development of this student. , since despite the fact that he has such a deficiency, his development possibilities are not static, but imbued by a dynamic process that is transformed from each experience, each interaction and each learning that is given to him.

    O presente estudo versa sobre o papel do professor na inclusão de alunos autistas na educação infantil, com enfoque na análise dos desafios e das possibilidades enfrentados. Assim, delineamos como objetivo deste trabalho analisar o papel do professor, da sala regular, na inclusão de alunos com transtorno do espectro autista – TEA, no contexto da educação infantil, evidenciando os principais desafios e possibilidades no processo de inclusão deste educando. Metodologicamente, este estudo caracteriza-se por ser uma revisão bibliográfica, considerando que buscamos, na literatura científica, as elucidações pontuadas por diferentes autores sobre o tema em tela. Desse modo, os resultados da pesquisa apontaram que o papel que o professor da educação infantil assume no tocante à inclusão de alunos com TEA é de mediador e facilitador do processo de ensino e aprendizagem em que a partir de um trabalho conjunto com os demais membros da equipe escolar e/ou multidisciplinar, e também articulado com a família, torna-se factível realizar a inclusão deste aluno no contexto da educação básica, especialmente na educação infantil. Concluímos, portanto, que o processo de inclusão do aluno com TEA, torna-se factível a partir de um trabalho pautado na colaboração e, que quanto antes, efetivar-se as intervenções pedagógicas necessárias, maiores serão as possibilidades de aprendizagem e desenvolvimento deste educando, uma vez que apesar de o mesmo apresentar tal deficiência, suas possibilidades de desenvolvimento não são estáticas, mas imbuídas por um processo dinâmico que se transforma a partir de cada experiência, cada interação e cada aprendizagem que lhe é oportunizada.
