Resumen de Independentismo catalán: análisis de las agencias de verificación

  Las noticias falsas impactan a nivel social, económico y político en la sociedad. Para contener su auge se han impulsado iniciativas como el surgimiento de las plataformas de verificación. Esta investigación tiene como objeto de estudio las noticias falsas que han surgido entorno al proceso nacionalista calatán, verificadas a través de una plataforma internacional como es AFP Factual, otra estatal como EFE Verifica y por una catalana como es Verificat. El objetivo es determinar las características que tienen estas noticias virales y conocer cómo es el proceso de difusión de las verificaciones elaboradas por estas plataformas. Para ello, se ha llevado a cabo una metodología de carácter mixto, combinando técnicas cualitativas como el estudio de caso con el uso de técnicas cuantitativas como el análisis de frecuencias y tablas de contingencia. Los resultados señalan la tipología, formatos y canales de distribución utilizados mayoritariamente por este tipo de noticias. Se ha constatado que etas fakes news refuerzan posicionamientos independentistas y que la difusión de las verificaciones elaboradas por estas plataformas tiene un corto alcance.

  Fake news has a social, economic and political impact on society. To contain its rise, initiatives such as the emergence of verification platforms have been promoted. The object of this investigation is to study the false news that has arisen around the Calatán nationalist process, verified through an international platform such as AFP Factual, another state platform such as EFE Verifica and by a Catalan platform such as Verificat. The objective is to determine the characteristics of these viral news and to know what the process of dissemination of the verifications produced by these platforms is like. For this, a mixed methodology has been carried out, combining qualitative techniques such as the case study with the use of quantitative techniques such as frequency analysis and contingency tables. The results indicate the typology, formats and distribution channels used mainly by this type of news. It has been found that these fakes news reinforce independence positions and that the dissemination of the verifications produced by these platforms has a short reach.
