At present, it is very necessary that teachers and future teachers of any educational stage, and more specifically those of early childhood education, are digitally competent, that is, they make a correct use and implementation of information and communication technologies in the classroom. The coronavirus pandemic has highlighted the need to have digitally competent teachers who know how to face these current and future challenges. To find out what educational technology is taught to future early childhood education teachers, we analyzed the study plans and teaching guides of the 6 universities of the Valencian Community that offer the degree of teacher in early childhood education, to verify if the initial training in technology the education they offer is adequate or insufficient. The results obtained show that the disparity of approaches is very varied as well as insufficient. But the main conclusion is that there is no consensus when deciding how many credits or what content to teach. It is recommended to establish a consensus and an increase in the educational technology to be developed in this career.
