The changes in Higher Education caused by the pandemic have had emotional and psychological consequences in the majority of people who have experienced it. The aim of this study is interested in knowing, analyzing and understanding the vision of university students regarding the emotional impact experienced after the pandemic and the consequences on their own training. This study has been developed that responds to a mixed methodology: qualitative and quantitative. The participants were 59 university students. The instruments were non-standard Likert-type questionnaire, discussion group and document analysis. The results of this study show that most of the participating students assure that the return to the classroom, after a prolonged period of confinement, has led to a greater state of anxiety, fear and self-perceived stress, 61.01 % of the students. On the other hand, this fact negatively affected their academic studies, 76.27 % of the participating students consider that the aforementioned state of mind can have negative consequences on university education. It is noted that the majority of university students experience self-perceived feelings of anxiety and stress, resulting in a logical detriment to their academic studies. This contributes to understanding the importance of, not only the most complete academic education possible, but also attending to the emotional dimension of students in higher education
