La ciudad videoescénica: representación audiovisual del espacioen el teatro

    Este trabajo tiene como objeto la investigación de larepresentación videoescénica de la ciudad en tresobras de reciente puesta en escena: “Muerte de unviajante” (2009), “Caleidoscopio” (2006) y“Metamorfosis” (2007). A través de la sucesión,simultaneidad e integración de espacioescenográfico y espacio audiovisual, las tres obrascitadas reflejan, respectivamente, Nueva York,Madrid y Lima y Barcelona. Esta investigación tratade determinar las modificaciones que el uso de laproyección audiovisual produce en la construccióndel espacio dramático respecto a su funcionamientoconvencional, explicar la incorporación del modonarrativo de representación en el modo dramático,establecer la noción de representación videoescénicacomo la imagen registrada por una videocámara yproyectada en el escenario en interacción con losdemás elementos que componen la representaciónteatral y, en último extremo, determinar quéimagen de la ciudad –del mundo– ofrece este tipode representaciones.

    The purpose of this work is to research the videoscenic representation of a city in three recent plays:“Death of a Salesman” (2009), “Kaleidoscope”(2006) and “Metamorphosis” (2007). By using thesuccession, simultaneity and integration of the sceneand the audiovisual space, the three plays mentionedbefore show New York, Madrid, Lima and Barcelona, respectively. This research tries to determine the changes that the use of the audiovisualprojection offers when building the dramatic setting respect to a more conventional use of it; it also pretends to explain the addition of the narrative stylewithin the dramatic method, and establish the ideaof video scenic representation as the image capturedby a video camera, and showed in the stage interacting with the rest of elements that form the theatricalperformance. And finally it defines what image ofthe city –of the world– offer this type of performances.
