Formación en línea de docentes en el uso de las tecnologías

      La educación a distancia basada en las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación (TICs) es una modalidad que ha sido ampliamente implementada en muchas instituciones de educación superior del extranjero y en algunas instituciones mexicanas.

      El propósito de este trabajo fue implementar y evaluar la formación de profesores en el uso en línea de las TICs. Esta experiencia se llevó a cabo durante el segundo semestre de 2006, en la asignatura Materiales y Medios Tecnológicos para la Instrucción del programa de la Especialización en Docencia de la Facultad de Educación de la UADY.

      Las actividades se establecieron, por un lado, siguiendo la organización propia del sistema. El enfoque pedagógico de las tareas y los foros se basaron en el constructivismo, promoviendo las competencias profesionales de acuerdo con lo establecido en el plan de estudios. El sistema de gestión en el que se trabajó está basado en el sistema Moodle.

      El 95% de los participantes consideró que la plataforma utilizada permitió acceder a información variada y acceder a información de diferentes maneras. Todos los estudiantes manifestaron haber desarrollado nuevas habilidades y en general consideraron que se logró el objetivo del curso, así como la adquisición de otros conocimientos. La participación en los foros fue muy interesante, ya que no estaban acostumbrados a utilizar esta herramienta, por lo que al principio les resultó un poco difícil iniciar con sus aportaciones y encontrar cómo dar respuesta a los comentarios de los compañeros.

      Distance education based on Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) is a modality that has been widely implemented in many higher education institutions abroad and in some Mexican institutions. The purpose of this work was to implement and evaluate the training of teachers in the online use of ICTs. This experience was carried out during the second semester of 2006, in the course Materials and Technological Means for Instruction of the Specialization in Teaching program of the School of Education at UADY. The activities were established, on the one hand, following the system's own organization. The pedagogical approach of the tasks and forums were based on constructivism, promoting professional skills in accordance with the provisions of the study plan. The management system in which we worked is based on the Moodle system. 95% of the participants considered that the platform granted access to varied information and access to information in different ways. All students stated that they had developed new skills and, in general, they considered that the objective of the course was achieved, as well as the acquisition of other knowledge. Participation in the forums was very interesting, since students were not used to this tool, so at first it was a bit difficult for them to start with their contributions and find how to respond to the comments of their colleagues.
