Se comienza mencionando los 7 rasgos para que el texto se materialice, estos son: Intencionalidad, aceptabilidad, situacionalidad, informatividad, coherencia, cohesión e intertextualidad. Se concluye que el entrenamiento del estudiante de lenguas extranjeras en el manejo de textos paralelos, tanto en la lengua materna como en la lengua extranjera lo capacita para enfrentar textos similares en situaciones comunicativas afines. La intertextualidad es un rasgo que debe tenerse en cuenta no sólo para la enseñanza de lenguas extranjeras, sino también para la traducción y la interpretación, el estudio del bilingüismo, el análisis de textos literarios, etc.
