The creationof a database is carried out by following anumber of steps starting from requirementsanalysis, database design and implementationin a specific Database Management System. The purpose of the current paper is to presentthe collaborative development of a Database. We have chosen a topic relevant, interesting forstudents that creates opportunities forteamwork. Green strategies, which are anintegral part of the concept of sustainabledevelopment, are among the most importantchallenges of today's world. Students from twouniversities - The University of Athens (Greece)and the University of Information Technologyand Management (Poland) - jointly defined therequirements of the Database, designed theDatabase by creating the appropriate EntityRelationship Diagram and created the relationaldatabase in the Oracle Apex Server DBMS. Thepurpose of the project was to create a databasefor saving/presenting data about green practicesof the two universities. Tools for contentreplenishment are provided. The collaborativeproject allowed the students to learn about thepartner's practices, exchange experience oftheir implementation and discuss new ideasabout green initiatives.
