Teletrabajo y el impacto de la pandemia COVID-19 sobre el proceso administrativo empresarial

    El presente artículo expone la situación que viven las empresas y las actividades operativas que han tenido que cambiar debido a la pandemia del Covid-19, que es una afectación mundial de la que Panamá no escapa, siendo los principales motivos: las medidas de bioseguridad y confinamiento por cuarentenas; establecidas por el Ministerio de Salud de Panamá, con el fin de mitigar los contagios y contrarrestar la propagación del virus. Las empresas han tenido que reinventarse y hacer ajustes en sus procesos administrativos, para adecuarse a los cambios de la Ley del Teletrabajo, para evitar el desempleo o cierre de las empresas y así poder subsistir. La metodología que se utilizó para este trabajo investigativo fue una revisión documental de forma exhaustiva en sitios web, artículos científicos, Decretos de Ley, páginas oficiales de gobierno y organismos internacionales, entre otros. Los hallazgos dan a conocer las diversas adecuaciones a la ley del teletrabajo implementadas por el Ministerio de Trabajo y Desarrollo Laboral de Panamá, permitiendo que las empresas, pudieran adecuarse y tomar las medidas necesarias para establecer nuevos procesos administrativos.

    This article presents the situation experienced by companies and the operational activities that have changed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, a global impact from which Panama cannot escape, being the main reasons: biosafety measures and quarantine confinement; established by the Ministry of Health of Panama with the goal of mitigating infections and counteracting the spread of the virus. Companies were forced to reinvent themselves and to make adjustments to their administrative processes, thus adapting themselves to the changes according to the Teleworking Law, avoiding unemployment or closure of companies and thus being able to survive. The methodology used for this investigative work was an exhaustive documentary review of websites, scientific articles, Law Decrees, official government pages and international organizations, among others. The findings reveal the various adaptations to the Teleworking Law implemented by the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development of Panama, which allow companies to adapt and take the necessary measures to establish new administrative processes.
