    El presente capítulo tuvo la finalidad de compilar y organizar información referida alconcepto, objetivos, alcance, características, etapas y diseños de los enfoques cuantitativo, cualitativo y mixto, para tal fin se realizó una revisión de la literatura, esto permitióreunir investigaciones de las cuales se pudieron extraer el contenido para construir tressecciones, cada sección se abocó a abordar un enfoque, pero a su vez cada secciónconsta de subdivisiones, que alojaron a las definiciones, etapas y diseños de cada enfoque, también se pudo lograr proyectar semejanzas y diferencias de los tres enfoques,en cuadros comparativos donde se vio los puntos más importantes de sus diferentesetapas y metodologías, las principales conclusiones a las que se arribaron, fueron quelos paradigmas de investigación son el punto de partida de los enfoques y que desdeahí se derivan las acciones investigativas, tales como diseño alcance y características, ytodo el accionar temático y operativo para responder a la problemática y alcanzar losobjetivos, finalmente se planteó un ejemplo práctico por cada enfoque, con el fin dedar una visión global sobre el proceso de un estudio cuantitativo, cualitativo o mixto,atendiendo al título y contexto de la problemática, planteamiento del problema, objetivo del estudio, metodología, contexto del desarrollo del estudio y los resultados.

    The present chapter had the purpose of compiling and organizing information relatedto the concept, objectives, scope, characteristics, stages and designs of the quantitative, qualitative and mixed approaches, for this purpose a review of the literaturewas carried out, this allowed to gather investigations on which the content could beextracted to build three sections, each section addressed an approach, but in turn eachsection consists of subdivisions, which housed the definitions, stages and designs ofeach approach, it was also possible to project similarities and differences of the threeapproaches, in comparative tables where the most important points of their differentstages and methodologies were seen, the main conclusions reached were that theresearch paradigms are the starting point of the approaches and that from there Investigative actions are derived, such as scope design and characteristics, and all the thematic and operational actions to respond to the problem and achieve the objectives,finally a practical example was raised for each approach, in order to give a global visionof the process of a quantitative, qualitative or mixed study, according to the title andcontext of the problem, statement of the problem, objective of the study, methodology, context of the development of the study and the results
