    El cantón Playas históricamente está considerado como uno de los destinos del turismo de sol y playa al interior de la provincia del Guayas, el Ministerio de Turismo juntamente con el Gobierno Autónomo Descentralizado y el Centro de Operaciones de Emergencia (COE) cantonal a principios del año 2021 levantó parcialmente las restricciones sanitarias que regían en el balneario de Playas, se tiene que establecer si se cumplieron los propósitos por las cuales las nuevas medidas fueron formuladas, ante esta problemática planteamos como objetivo de investigación, determinar la afectación económica del turismo post pandemia sobre los Hoteles del balneario de Playas. En el desarrollo de este trabajo se empleó el enfoque cuantitativo, el alcance fue descriptivo y el diseño fue no experimental de corte transversal, la técnica de recolección de datos fue la encuesta, los principales resultados de la investigación sobre los ingresos económicos indican que se evidencia un nivel significativo de afectación según los datos del Ministerio de Turismo y la opinión de los encuestados, que fluctúa en un 26% de hoteles cerrados a nivel del cantón, los establecimiento con una afectación altamente significativa son los de categoría 3 estrellas, también se pudo apreciar que el sector se está recuperando, aunque no ha alcanzado los niveles productivos del año 2019.

    The Playas canton is historically considered one of the sun and beach tourism destinations within the Guayas province, the Ministry of Tourism together with the Decentralized Autonomous Government and the cantonal Emergency Operations Center (COE) at the beginning of the year 2021 partially lifted the sanitary restrictions that governed the Playas spa, it must be established whether the purposes for which the new measures were formulated were fulfilled, in view of this problem we propose as a research objective, to determine the economic impact of post-pandemic tourism on Hotels of the beach resort. In the development of this work, the mixed approach was used, the scope is descriptive and the design was non-experimental, cross-sectional, the data collection technique was the survey, the main results of the research on economic income indicate that it is evident a significant level of affectation according to the data of the Ministry of Tourism and the opinion of the respondents, which fluctuates in 26% of hotels closed at the canton level, the establishments with a highly significant affectation are those of the 3-star category, it is also appreciated that the sector is recovering, although it has not reached the production levels of 2019.
