    In this paper, I would like to make a very general reflection on the issues of its title. Therefore, nothing can be seen as an original contribution from innovative research. I will discuss some considerations about concepts and realities related to the theory and practice of translation to make it clear once again that both are completely indistinguishable. At best, all of this may help us to understand better the professional activity to which, more occasionally or systematically, we dedicate: translating.

    En aquest text em permeto fer una reflexió molt general i lliure sobre els termes exposats en el títol. Res a veure, per tant, amb cap aportació original fruit d’una recerca innovadora. M’estenc en algunes consideracions sobre conceptes i realitats afins a la teoria i a la pràctica de la traduc-ció, prou perquè en quedi palès un cop més que totes dues resulten del tot indestriables. I per-què, en el millor dels casos, tot plegat contribueixi a fer-nos més cabal de la solta i la volta de l’activitat professional a què, de manera més ocasional o sistemàtica, ens lliurem: la de traduir.
