La maternidad en las narrativas cinematográficas del fin del mundo: Patriarcado, neoliberalismo y luchas por la reproducción

    Este análisis aborda un referente representativo del discurso neoliberal: las narrativas del fin del mundo. Nos proponemos verificar qué valores y arquetipos del neoliberalismo se exponen en estas narrativas y mediante qué estrategias discursivas se instala su racionalidad, entendida como lucha por la reproducción. Para ello se estudian cuatro ficciones cinematográficas contemporáneas que abordan estas narrativas como género fílmico a través de la madre como personaje. Concluimos que estas narrativas fílmicas refuerzan la concepción tradicional de la maternidad como mandato y que predominan representaciones de la figura materna que naturalizan una política sexual y reproductiva articulada al proyecto neoliberal.

    This analysis deals with a representative referent of the neoliberal discourse: the narratives of the end of the world. We intend to verify what values and archetypes of neoliberalism are exposed in these narratives and through what discursive strategies this rationality is installed, understood as a struggle for reproduction. To this end, four contemporary fictions that address these narratives as a film genre through the mother as a character are studied. We conclude that these film narratives reinforce the traditional conception of motherhood as mandate and that maternal representations naturalizing a sexual and reproductive policy articulated to the neoliberal project predominate.
