  • Resumen
    • Tracing the concept of border in Dea Loher’s monologue Land ohne Worte, does not seem feasible at first sight. The play’s conception of a European painter in K. (probably Kabul) struggling to represent the war around her in in her paintings; and the monologue in which the character discusses her life crisis are marked by a German dramatistwho has lived in different parts of the world. There is no doubt that if borders are to be found in the play, they will soon be dissolved. In fact, we are not told about specific countries, we only see people affected by war. It does not matter whether it is the Afghanistan war or not, whether the main character is German or not, because borders have no meaning where the «action» takes place. The author not only crosses physical frontiers in this play, but also artistic ones, putting into question the nature and limits of language itself.
