La dimensión experiencial y emocional en el conocimiento actualizado del patrimonio tras los Giros Cultural y Afectivo. Su transferencia a la caracterización tangible de la arquitectura

    El conocimiento del entorno a través de la integración del componente experiencial-emo-cional con el racional ha sido abordado desde el pasado siglo por disciplinas diversas. Avalada desde la neurociencia, dicha integración es de relevancia en la concepción actualizada del patrimonio: desde la valoración experta y ‘científica’ del objeto, pasando por la experiencia subjetiva del lugar táctil y tradicional, hasta la reciente incorporación de lo emocional en la interacción de la comunidad. Centrán-donos en la arquitectura, y aunque su particularidad de estar físicamente en nuestro espacio y tiempo ha provocado que dicho componente haya sido abordado por disciplinas dedicadas al entorno, su marco ideológico nunca se ha revisitado en clave patrimonial. Este artículo tiene como objetivo mostrar su abordaje desde las disciplinas dedicadas al entorno, estableciendo un diálogo con la incursión de lo experiencial, emocional y afectivo en la valoración patrimonial: el Giro Cultural de los sesenta y el más reciente Giro Afectivo contextualizan su alcance en las Convenciones y Cartas UNESCO, revisitando las metodologías desarrolladas por ambos Giros desde una mirada patrimonial. La prevalencia en su identificación actual con el patrimonio intangible desemboca finalmente en la necesidad de su incorpo-ración a la caracterización del patrimonio tangible y su reto metodológico.

    Knowledge of the environment through the integration of their experiential-emotional com-ponent and the rational components has been addressed since the last century by various disciplines. Endorsed from neuroscience, this integration is relevant in the updated conception of heritage: from the expert and ‹scientific› assessment of the object, through the subjective experience of the tactile and traditional place, to the recent incorporation of the emotions in the interaction of community. Focusing on architecture, and although its specificity of being physically in our space and time has caused this component to be addressed by disciplines dedicated to the environment, its ideological framework has never been revisited in terms of heritage. This article aims to show its approach from the disciplines dedicated to the environment, establishing a dialogue with the incursion of the experiential, emotional and affective within heritage valuation: the Cultural Turn of the sixties and the most recent Affective Turn approaches are contextualized in the UNESCO Conventions and Charters, revisiting the method-ologies developed by both Turns from the heritage perspective. The prevalence in its current identifica-tion with intangible heritage, finally leads to the need for its incorporation into the characterization of tangible heritage and its methodological challenge.
