  En el artículo se aborda como idea fundamental algunas teorías dadas por diferentes investigadores sobre la tarea docente, así como valoraciones dadas por la autora del mismo, reconociendo a esta como componente imprescindible en el proceso de la Educación técnica y profesional. Tiene como objetivo fundamental divulgar la importancia que tiene la tarea en la práctica docente, para la formación de los estudiantes de forma general. En este caso contextualizada a la especialidad Construcción Civil.
