The present study analyses three editions, respectively, of two Spanish grammars intended for Italian speakers and published in Turin: the Grammatica della lingua spagnuola by Filippo Manetta and Edoardo Rughi (1872-73, 1880 and 1908) and the Grammatica spagnola by Lucio Ambruzzi (1931, 1955 and 1965). Taking as a representative sample the verbal terminology of the past tens-es, their analysis will make it possible to determine, on the one hand, through comparison with other grammars, the grammatical tradition to which their names belong and, on the other hand, in relation to these, the changes introduced by the revisers in the posthumous editions.
