Resumen de Un modelo de docencia en las universidades jesuitas: Evaluación del cumplimiento de la misión de la Compañía de Jesús

La Compañía de Jesús ha intentado en los últimos años establecer algunas directrices para ayudar a sus instituciones educativas a enfocar sus acciones por y para la misión. El “Paradigma Ledesma-Kolvenbach” se considera una buena base para hacerlo. Presenta cuatro dimensiones interdependientes (utilidad, justicia, humanismo y fe), que reflejan una visión integral y holística de la finalidad de una universidad. Sin embargo, es necesario hacer operativas estas dimensiones. Esta investigación desarrolla un modelo que ayuda a las universidades jesuitas a evaluar su nivel de despliegue de las dimensiones en el ámbito de la docencia.

The higher education institutions belonging to the Society of Jesus need to establish some guidelines to focus their actions for and by the mission. The “Ledesma-Kolvenbach Paradigm” is considered a good basis for doing so. The paradigm presents four interdependent dimensions (utility, justice, humanity, and faith), which reflect an integral and holistic vision of the purpose of a university. However, there is a growing need to operationalize these dimensions. This research aims to develop a model that allows Jesuit colleges and universities to assess the level of progress in the four dimensions of the paradigm in the field of teaching.
