    We present a study that is part of a broader research project within the field of evaluation and quality inhigher education. It focuses on the analysis of student participation in college in the social, political and current university context. The study is being developed by a research team of a Values EducationProgram in the Institute of Education Sciences in the University of Barcelona, as part of the co-authors ofthis communication. This report addresses one of the three sources to approach the issue we aredeveloping. The first one is to analyze student participation in academic dynamics, management anduniversity life from a conceptual perspective. The second one attempts to identify the practices of studentparticipation in a previously selected group of European universities because of their quality. The thirdone - which is referred to this study - seeks to know the opinion of a group of "experts" on the subject, inconnection with the possibilities and limits of student participation in college today. The current situationof Spanish university is analyzed in terms of the contributions given to students, the factors which reducetheir participation, the arguments to justify it and the situation of Student Status

    Presentem un estudi que forma part d’un treball de recerca més ampli i que s’ubica dins l’àmbitd’avaluació i qualitat en l’educació superior. Se centra en l’anàlisi de la participació dels estudiants a launiversitat en el context social, polític i universitari actual. L’estudi s’està desenvolupant per un equip derecerca del Programa d'Educació en Valors de l'Institut de Ciències de l'Educació de la Universitat deBarcelona, del que formen part els coautors d’aquesta comunicació. Aquest informe aborda una de les tresfonts d’aproximació al tema que estem desenvolupant. La primera consisteix a analitzar la participaciódels estudiants en la dinàmica acadèmica, el govern i la vida universitària des d’una perspectivaconceptual. La segona procurarà identificar les pràctiques de participació dels estudiants en un conjuntd’universitats europees seleccionades per la seva qualitat. I la tercera, a la qual es refereix aquest estudi ,pretén conèixer l’opinió d’un conjunt “d’experts” en el tema, en relació amb les possibilitats i límits de laparticipació dels estudiants a la universitat actual. S’analitza quina és la situació actual de la universitat del’estat espanyol quant a aportacions que atorga als estudiants, factors que disminueixen la sevaparticipació, arguments per justificar-la i l’Estatut de l’Estudiant.
