  • Chronic proliferative rhinitis is an inflammation of the upper respiratory tract with slow and lethal clinical course. It has been associated with Salmonella enterica subsp. diarizone serotype 61:k:1:5:(7) (SED) in ovine. This pathogen is a host adapted microorganism in sheep. This communication reports the experimental infection of the upper respiratory tract of lambs with SED.
