The aim of this study was to estimate α-tocopherol content in lamb meat using α-tocopherol concentration in plasma. Sixty-two lambs were weaned and fed a control concentrate, a concentrate supplemented with acetate of tocopherol, alfalfa for different periods of time until slaughter. At slaughter, blood samples were collected to determine αtocopherol concentration and after cooling for 24 h (4 ºC), Longissimus and Semitendinosusmuscles were excised to determine α-tocopherol content and intramuscular fat content. According to the coefficient of determination, the equation to predict α-tocopherol content in Longissimus had better adjustment that in Semitendinosus muscle. Concentration of αtocopherol in Longissimus muscle = 0,18 + 0,46 x α-tocopherol concentration in plasma (R2= 0,61; RMSE=0,486) and Concentration of α-tocopherol in Semitendinosus muscle = 0,23 + 0,33 x α-tocopherol concentration in plasma (R2=0,50; RMSE= 0,461).
